
If there's one thing that's Iran famous for (put aside politics in the recent years and the revolution), then it is artwork.

I had heard about the famous iranian carpets (my mother even send me a text message as I was in Tabriz saying: "now you're there where our carpet comes from"),

but I have honestly never imagined that these carpets would be so magnificent, that they would look like paintings (yes, the pictures in the frames as woven carpets!):


Carpets come in a variety of ways:

but they are not the only art work, which can be found in Iran. Esfahan is very well known for the paintings and the cupper work

and while walking through the streets of the bazar, you can watch them working on their art:
